Fuzz
⌊ Immersive installation with 3D video and surround sound. Produced by Visisonor. Selected for presentation at the 2010 ISCM World Music Days in Sydney, Australia.

Fuzz is a collaboration between audiovisual artist Marcel Wierckx and composer Roderik de Man, based on a concept by Jorge Isaac. It was inspired by László Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946), the modernist co-founder of the Bauhaus, who was fascinated by the new technologies of his time such as film and photography. In 1930 he built the Licht-Raum-Modulator, a kinetic sculpture that gave a glimpse of the 4th dimension via shadows and reflections. The multimedia composition and installation Fuzz is an attempt to recreate the experience that Moholy-Nagy sought: a synthesis of light, colour and movement, exploring the artistic possibilities of these new media.
