Mensa Secunda
⌊ Digital video for multidisciplinary project. Produced by Visisonor. Winner of the 2004 Jur Naessens prize.

"I cut myself and taste the juices of my body. This is where perfection lies, under my skin. Wine, not blood flows along my veins"

Mensa Secunda tells the story of Apicius, the Roman chef, obsessed with the idea of the perfect recipe. It is an interdisciplinary spectacle that integrates music, dance, theatre and video through the use of interactive electronic media to create a unique environment enticing to all the senses. A space that rotates with the hours of a day invites the audience into a world which is ruled by desire and the longing for a perfect reicipe.

"Isabel Ariel, Nicolas Delamotte Legrand en Benjamin Petitjean (choreographer) from MorphoDidius are three strong personalities on the stage and are absolutely exciting to watch. The collective has a very original movement language, wherein a classic tone and whimsical tight torsos alternate with each other. Arched bodies and distorted limbs also reach through space beautifully." - Rotterdams Dagblad
